Writer's Block: Starstruck

Yes, Loads. We used to live right outside the main gates of Pinewood Studios where my dad worked as a set painter. I've met the entire cast of Star Wars Return of the Jedi, Roger Moore and several other actors from the James Bond movies. Sean Bean, Cate Blanchet, Mige Ure, Tom Baker, Big Daddy (English Wrestler), Giant Haystacks (English Wrestler). Russel Grant was my mum's neighbour for years. When I was a small child, Haley Mills used to live in the estate opposite ours. Years ago, I was a runner at Radio One for a summer, met swathes of artists (DJs, bands, soloists). I've met most of the original cast of Star Trek. I've even met a couple of former US presidents. I didn't count how many I met or make note of names, I certainly don't chalk us autographs, and I've never been starstruck. They were all just people to me, who do an extraordinary job.
Have you ever met anyone famous?

And that might be the healthiest attitude I've ever seen about it. :D

It always amazes and confuses me why people hog the doors outside radio stations and other such places just to crowd a poor bloke who just happens to be in something on the telly. And then instead of saying nice to meet, you were fab; no, it's EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! It's David Tennant!!! Get your pants off!!! I want your baby!!! Marry me!!!

What the hell are you doing? Do I know your species? It's embarrassing. As my gran used to say to me, don't get starry-eyed if you end up acting with someone famous. Be honoured, be polite, learn from them. They're just people. They fart just like everyone else. I have my gran to thank for my outlook. She was the most amazing woman.
